Welcome to First Baptist

Welcome to First Baptist Church!!! We are a “church of welcome” that invites anyone regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, socio-economical status, political or social background. You and your family are welcomed at First Baptist Church! You matter to God, and you matter to us. From toddlers to senior adults, we have ministries and outreach opportunities for each member of your family. Whether you are searching for meaning and direction in life or simply a place to call home, First Baptist is here for you and your family.

We would like to personally invite you to join us for one of our services. Our church family is a friendly, warm, caring and affirming church family. The worship is fantastic, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The messages are biblically based and relevant to your daily life. First Baptist has a “come as you are” invitation; so feel free to dress casual or dress up. It is totally up to you.

We believe that God is at work in our community and the world around us, and He wants us to join Him in that work. At First Baptist, we believe that every person is uniquely gifted to make a real difference in our church and our community. As a student, mother, father, teacher, manager, salesman, executive, professional, factory worker, farmer, or whatever you do, we believe that God can use you as a vessel of forgiveness, mercy, grace and love to everyone you come in contact with.

We value people over programs and relationships over religion. It is our desire to see the lost saved, the saved transformed, and the community impacted. We take a non-denominational approach to ministry as we seek to lead people to Jesus Christ and a victorious lifestyle by the aid and power of the Holy Spirit. Come and experience the difference!!!

Daily Bread

We are continuing with our fast from 12 - 6pm, Monday through Saturday. Below you will find the meditations and Scriptural focus for these times of prayer.

Day 1.   Pray for an increase of vitality, renewal and vision that is from God for the pastors and leaders personally and collectively so that the church can be galvanized then take a hold of, and then be revitalized as a caring committed community for His Kingdom and purpose (Isa. 61:3; Rom. 12).

Day 2.   Pray that your church be a community of grace and forgiveness. That your church has an atmosphere of encouragement by being grateful for Christ’s work in them that enables the congregation to be inspired to give genuine hospitality to all who comes though your doors (Rom. 15:4-6; 2 Thess. 2:16-17).

Day 3.    Pray for healing, forgiveness and reconciliation for any misplaced expectations, criticism, ungrateful attitudes, flawed thinking, grief, hurts, and abuse (Isa. 61:3; Mark 11:22-24, 2 Cor. 10:3-5; Eph. 4:32-5:1; Phil. 4:19).

Day 4 .  Pray that our church becomes real authentic disciples of Christ who are learning, growing and making Fruit and in turn making more disciples (Prov. 19:23; Mal. 3:11; Matt. 28:18-20; John. 15:16; Gal. 5:22-23)

Day 5 .  Pray that the spirit and practice of Humility is utilized and practiced in and outside of your church, and that false humility does not take root (1 Pet. 5:5-7).

Day 6.    Pray that God protects our Church, Leadership and  Staff from sin and misdirection and they have the wiliness and boldness to flee and confront sin (Prov. 19:23; 1 Pet. 1:16).

Pray and focus on one of these each day of this week, Monday - Saturday, during your time of prayer and fasting. May God's endless strength and His everlasting presence be with each of you!
